Latest auditions – and a free show!
Two new audition dates have been decided and details are given below. Roles are for over 16s only, other than that all are welcome. No preparation or experience needed.
Friday 23rd November 2018, 7.30pm: Mary Mary by Billy Towers. A piece of new writing looking at the life of Mary Kelly, the fifth canonical victim of Jack the Ripper. Roles for male and female performers available. Directed by Abbi Laidler. To be produced in our studio from 23rd to 26th January 2019.
Friday 30th November 2018, 7.30pm: Hobson’s Choice by Harold Brighouse. A theatrical classic with roles for male and female performers available. Directed by Andrew Barella. To be produced on our main stage from 18th to 23rd February 2019.
To mark the centenary of the end of the First World War, two young soldiers debate whether Wilfred Owen was right when he wrote the immortal lines “dulce et decorum est, pro patria mori”. Jack and Ted may have walked to war for the same reasons, but will they feel the same about it, and their fellow soldiers, when all is said and done?
This a studio performance and and lasts approximately 40 minutes. Our studio seats 60 and the event is first come first served (no exceptions). Doors at 7.30pm.
Our normal social evening will still be available to all wishing to attend.
The show has been created by our fantastic, actor, director and writer, Helen Bowie and stars two of our most talented young actors, James Errington and Alex Goodchild .
